Event Description
During the dinner, we’ll also share in the fun and excitement of our “Blessing Exchange” (our joyful twist on the traditional “Secret Santa”). It’s a lighthearted and meaningful way to spread holiday cheer by giving a thoughtfully chosen gift to someone in our church family—anonymously, of course!
How to Participate in the Blessing Exchange:
1. Set the Stage:
The Christmas Event Committee will gather names of those who wish to participate.
A gift budget will be announced to keep giving fun and affordable.
The gift exchange will take place during the dinner on December 23.
2. Drawing Names:
Each participant’s name will be placed into a festive elf hat.
Everyone will draw a name—just make sure you don’t get your own!
3. Buying the Gift:
Choose a gift based on your recipient’s interests or personality—something thoughtful, not expensive.
Wrap it secretly—don’t reveal your identity!
4. The Gift Exchange:
During dinner, we’ll take time to open our gifts one by one.
Participants can try to guess who their “Blessing Giver” is. Then the secret givers can reveal themselves!
Tips for a Great Blessing Exchange:
Stick to the budget so everyone can participate stress-free.
Personalize your gift—it’s the thought that counts!
Include a fun clue if you like to keep them guessing!
Most importantly: have fun and enjoy giving with a cheerful heart.
Come ready to eat, laugh, love, and be blessed. There’s no place like family—and no dinner like Dinner With the Family at Greater Faith!
